BURDEN OF GRIEF Part Ways With Guitarist, Bassist; Announce Replacements
March 21, 2006German death/thrash metal act BURDEN OF GRIEF have parted ways with guitarist Ulrich Busch and bassist Dirk Bulmahn. "After some personal problems during the last months we unfortunately had no other choice to make this very hard decision," the band write in a statement. "We regret much that it had come so far, but under these conditions we saw no more future for BURDEN OF GRIEF. We wish both all the best!!!"
Replacing Busch and Bulmahn in the group's current lineup are guitarist Johannes "Joe" Rudolph (GUTLOCK) and bassist Florian Bauer (TWILIGHT PROPHECIES). "The first rehearsals went very promising and we are planning to enter the studio around August/September '06," the band write. "Due to the working on the next record we will play just a very few shows this year."
BURDEN OF GRIEF's third full-length album, "Fields of Salvation", was released in Europe in 2004 through Remedy Records/Soulfood. The CD was mixed at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark with producer Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, PRETTY MAIDS, HATESPHERE).
